Customized Children's Football Step Stool

Today’s toy review is another children’s decor product rather than toy; however, after featuring quite a few girlie decor pieces I thought it only fair to put one out there for the boys! The personalized children’s step stool is another handmade product from an ETSY store! This particular stool features a football scene and comes personalized with your child’s name as well as football team! If you have a pee wee player this is the ideal step stool for them! The stool comes customized to the football team of your choice and actually has various things that can be customized to your child (yes, girl football lovers too!). When you order your customized step stool you get

to customize the child’s name area, the team preference, the jersey color and the jersey number so your child can be featured on their own step stool! These stools are handmade and hand-painted and come in very handy for getting a boost in to bed or up to the sink. These stools are sturdy and sealed for durability so they’re long lasting and easy to clean! The stool measures 8" x 12" on the top and are 7" high.

As a handmade ETSY product you can only find this piece in butterbeanz’s ETSY store!

        Assorted Chocolates w/Tin from Haba

        July 20th, 2008 by admin
        Assorted Chocolates w/Tin from Haba

I will begin today’s toy review by letting it be known that I am extremely wary about play foods because being that they are imitation food they are going to end up in someone’s mouth and the likelihood of choking is increased tenfold. That being said, for the correct age group play food can make an amazing gift and really add that special touch to a tea party with the dolls or a pretend party with friends. Haba has some really amazing play food products but being that chocolate is one of my favorite foods and being that this set of chocolates in a tin is so adorable I couldn’t help myself. The assorted chocolates with a tin from Haba comes with an

assortment of nine different shaped play chocolates each with their own decoration on top! The tin included in this set of play food measures 2.62"D x .88"H and the chocolates average dimensions are .78"W x .78"L x .60"H. The chocolate tin set meet various safety recommendations and are recommended for ages 3yrs+. I completely disagree with the 3yr+ age recommendation for the above stated reason so I would use your judgement on this one; however, I would personally bump the recommended age range for this one up to 7yrs.

Haba has a wide variety of play food products available; however, because they are so detailed retail stores rarely carry them, preferring to carry the cheap hollow plastic play foods. You can pick up your choice of Haba play foods from Amazon.com !

          Cranium

          July 19th, 2008 by admin
          Cranium

I love reviewing games because studies have shown that families that play games together have happier home lives as well as more open lines of communication. Today’s game is Cranium, one of my personal favorites. Cranium is one game with 14 different activities included so that there is something for everyone in the family. Cranium is recommended for children 13yrs and over though so it is definitely not a game for those of you with younger children. The reason that Cranium is recommended for older children is because it takes a lot of thinking and interactivity that yuonger children are not yet able to take part in. Cranium is a team game

which involves one individual in the team taking their turn at acting out, drawing, humming, sculpting from clay, the clue that is on their clue card. The Cranium game comes with the game board, 600 Carnium cards including many different subjects, a ten sided Cranium dice, a tub of Cranium clay, a timer, drawing pads, pencils and four Cranium pieces. Cranium was named the 2001 toy of the year by the Toy Industry Association so it’s definitely not a new game but I have to say that it’s one of the best games i’ve played in my time!

Cranium is one of those games like Monopoly that you can find in just about any retail store anywhere, but as always if you can’t find it you can pick up a game from Amazon.com!
